Did Outkast finally convince the American people that roses really smell like boo-boo?
If so, we have some questions:
Why did it take 14 years?
Caroline, did you get that needed attitude adjustment and come back down from Mars?
Or was it the fact that the Chainsmoker's song Roses doesn't say the word 'roses' once in the entire song that aggravated people enough for them to purchase another flower?
As I mentioned in my previous post, American's are projected to spend $18.2 billion this Valentine's day.
According to an annual Valentines Day survey by the National Retail Federation (NRF) and Prosper Insights & Analytics, Americans are estimated to spend $2 billion alone on flowers.
How is V-day 2017 flower purchases any different than previous V-day purchases you might ask?

This year those, those oh so thoughtful significant others and loved ones are predicted to take a ride on the wild side by purchasing more colorful arrangements and opting out of traditional red roses.

- Red roses are down to 47%
- decreased by 19%
- White roses are up to 16%
- increased by 5%
- Blue roses are up to 6%
- increased by 12%
- Rainbow and Purple were not in the top 5
- In 2015 Pink was the second most popular rose color purchased and in 2017 it didn't make the top 5 list
