Worlds Apart

Our final unit in Consumer Behavior is a ‘Design Sprint’ which consists of a few different steps including concept testing. So, unless you have been living under a rock or in a coma, I am sure you are aware of the PR nightmare Pepsi and United are facing. Although, both companies recent events will be a ‘What Not to do’ lecture in public relations class I am just poking fun at Pepsi. Kendall Jenner Pepsi Ad Jimmy Kimmel told his audience, "The fact that this somehow made it through—I can't imagine how many meetings, and edits, and pitches, and then got the thumbs-up from who-knows-how-many people is absolutely mind-boggling.” And he ...

ULTAmate Rewards Program

Ulta is the bed, bath and BEYOND of all things beauty which makes sense that they have trademarked 'All Things Beauty, All in One Place.' Ulta has differentiated themselves in the beauty industry because they offer high-end prestigious products once only found at department stores as well as more price point friendly 'drugstore' products. The beauty superstore has surpassed Sephora as the largest beauty chain in the country with 978 retail stores across the nation. Ulta carries 20,000 products from 500 different brands in addition to a successful private label and a full-service salon and brow bar.  To many, Ulta is a place to be avoided at all costs unless you:  1. need a specific product  2. need a trip to the brow bar 3. have a decent amount of time to dedicate to being at Ulta I can see how Ulta can be stressful and I typically feel like I should have bought that other shade of lipstick I was teeter-tottering between for the last twen...

My perception of Spain is the running of the bulls in Madrid. So why would these countries of fairy tales and enchantment want to kill and eat bunnies? Key word:  Perception  According to Merriam-Webster,  perception is defined as the 1 a   :   a result of perceiving   :    observation b   :   a mental...
